Who we are

I’m Kris Truelsen, and Holston Flower Farm is a personal evolution I never quite expected—but now can’t imagine life without. I’ve spent the last decade building community through music, media, and storytelling—from founding a community radio station (Radio Bristol), to performing around the world, to creating and hosting a nationally syndicated television show (Farm and Fun Time) that connects people to the culture of this region. Growing flowers started as a side project. Then it took over—in the best possible way.

Raised in the mountains of Colorado, I grew up with dirt under my nails and my nose in the peonies. That early love of the natural world followed me to East Tennessee, where I’ve made a life rooted in creativity, community, and connection to place.

At Holston Flower Farm, I bring that same care and vision to growing flowers: no-till methods, seasonal planting, and a commitment to both quality and connection. Each bouquet is a reflection of where we live—colorful, grounded, a little wild—and meant to be shared.
